Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences

Characteristics

The Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy is a faculty with over 50 years of history, one of the largest university faculties in Poland. There are over three thousand students studying at seven fields of study.

We create very good conditions for studying, giving our students access to 7 computer labs with over 250 computers and many specialist laboratories. Moreover, not taking the University School of Physical Education into account, we are the only Wrocław university with a swimming pool and a sport hall.

We are proud of our interdisciplinary teaching staff who educate students at seven fields of study: environmental engineering, water engineering and management, geodesy and cartography, civil engineering, landscape architecture, land management and safety engineering. The faculty has over 250 staff members, including 185 academic teachers, out of whom 50 are professors and doctors with habilitation. Thanks to them, the faculty has the rights to confer the degree of doctor and habilitated doctor in the field of environmental engineering and the degree of doctor in the field of geodesy and cartography. We hope that we will soon gain the right to confer the degree of doctor in civil engineering. We cooperate with numerous foreign universities. Within Erasmus LLP, our students may study for at least one semester at our partner universities in Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, France and Finland and others.
